A Comprehensive and interdisciplinary database of funding opportunities from federal agencies and private foundations and international organizations.
- UCSF affiliates can create personal accounts to save their searches and set-up funding alerts.
- Pivot also provides access to researcher profiles and information on calls for paper and special issue of scholarly journals regarding their abstract submission deadlines and Award information.
- The Research Development Office, in collaboration with the Library, offers monthly PIVOT trainings for faculty, staff, postdocs, and students.
Access to Pivot is paid for by the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor & Provost.

Grants.gov is a database resource for searching over a thousand federal grant resources, including NIH but also all other federal departments. Sign up for email alerts and to track applications.

The central resource for NIH grants, providing an overview of the grants process, application basics, peer review, award management, application deadlines, forms and grants policies and procedures. It provides a searchable database of NIH grant information.

The NIH RePORT(ER) database allows discovering who has received federal grant funding in particular areas of biomedical research, and evaluating the viability and potential of your own proposals.
