Pros:

  • Free to UCSF users
  • Easy to learn and use
  • Online platform; you are able to access from any computer
  • Integrates with Faculty Opinions products to provide article recommendations.
  • Works with Word and Google Docs
  • Imports PDFs stored on your computer

Cons:

  • You will lose access if you leave UCSF. To continue to use Sciwheel you will either need to move to an institution with an account or pay for access
  • Limited function when off-line
  • Need to authenticate with UCSF
