LGBT Health - National Organizations and Resources

These links include national organizations dedicated to LGBT health, and resource pages on LGBT health from federally supported health organizations such as MedlinePlus and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Several national associations for LGBT psychology and mental health professionals are listed on the Mental Health page of this guide, and several national associations for other specific groups of health professionals are listed on the Health Concerns page.

LGBT-Related Databases

Health sciences literature databases such as PubMed, Web of Science, PsycINFO (psychological research literatures), and CINAHL (nursing research literatures) all offer access to many peer-reviewed research articles on LGBT health topics.

The research databases below are concerned specifically with gender and sexuality, and offer results from popular periodicals and other resources not included in the main health sciences databases.
